Ezra Full Body MRI Scan
Ezra (Function Health)
MRI screening service, now part of Function Health (Ezra's site: 'Ezra and Function have united'). You book online and fill in a medical questionnaire; Ezra's affiliated providers order the scan if they consider it appropriate, and it is done at a partner imaging center. The base MRI Scan (about 22 minutes) covers the head, neck, abdomen and pelvis; it does not include the chest, lungs, heart, breasts, limbs, spine or colon. Board-certified radiologists read the images and Ezra sends a plain-language report in 7-10 days. Price (US, checked Oct 3, 2026): MRI Scan $999; Ezra says $899 with a Function membership, while Function's own FAQ lists the MRI at $999 for members. MRI Scan with Spine $1,699 ($1,499 with Function membership, per Ezra); MRI with Skeletal & Neurological Assessment $3,999. Optional low-dose CT: Heart CT (calcium score) $349; Lung CT $399. UK prices differ (MRI Scan £1,299). Not covered by insurance; HSA/FSA may apply; payment plans available. Regulatory: Ezra's FDA 510(k) clearances cover only its AI image-processing software (Ezra Flash, Ezra Plexo), not the scan service itself; the scans are offered for screening and informational purposes, and results are not a medical diagnosis. The American College of Radiology says there is insufficient evidence to recommend total-body screening for people without symptoms, risk factors or family history. Eligibility: adults 18+; not during pregnancy; not intended for people with symptoms or abnormal lab results. Availability: partner centers in 39 US states plus DC, and the UK. Cancellations within 48 hours aren't refunded. Evidence grade: C. A 2026 meta-analysis of whole-body MRI screening in people without symptoms found cancer in about 1.6% of those screened, with frequent incidental findings; an earlier review reported false positives in about 16%, which lead to further tests. No study shows better health outcomes. Goals: longevity. Directory: Testing & Diagnostics > Imaging & body scans.
